Simpl Cimbax Partnership Accelerates BI use in Healthcare
September 2010, a new partnership between healthcare IT advisor and integrator Simpl and Microsoft Dynamics and Business Intelligence (BI) expert, Cimbax, is focusing on the delivery of BI to Microsoft Dynamics AX or Dynamics CRM environments within UK, NHS and private healthcare organisations. Pairing Simpl’s healthcare domain knowledge, the proven BI integration skills and approach of Cimbax and an established BI solution from timeXtender, the partnership has the unique capability to deliver BI to healthcare organisations quickly, with roll-out taking just a few days. This will enable management, marketing, finance and clinical staff to start making more informed decisions on the data they hold almost instantly.
BI was the top spending priority of 1,500 CIOs surveyed by Gartner in 2009. A demonstration of its growing use, a second Gartner report from 2010, shows that BI vendor revenues passed £6bn last year, which despite a recession, is a rise of more than four per cent.
For healthcare organisations, BI can help staff make sense of the data they hold in ERP or CRM products like Dynamics AX or Dynamic CRM and turn it into easily understandable information relating to clinical, operations and financial activities. This information can be historical, current or predictive. BI tools enable information to be used in a more intuitive way, so it can be shared internally or externally with stakeholders, consultants, patients or, for the private sector, with investors.
